Policy Hub

This Brief is a collaboration with The Bridwell Institute for Economic Freedom, a research institute in the SMU Cox School of Business. The mission of Bridwell is to foster the scholarly study and intellectual discussion of the nature, consequences, and causes of economic freedom in our local, state, national, and international communities. The Policy Circle's mission is to inform, equip, and connect women to be impactful civic leaders who embrace entrepreneurial values. With these complementary goals in mind, this initiative seeks to further the reach of Bridwell's scholarship as it relates to women's economic opportunities, the role of government vs. private sector, and increasing women's access to capital. Ultimately, this Brief and the conversations surrounding it should be a catalyst for more thoughtful policy surrounding women's economic freedom and fewer restrictions or red tape to hinder their success.
